Expose on Garbage Day

I was remembering a shoot I did once in Elgin, on that one day of the year the garbage men will pick up ANYTHING you put out at the curb. Normally in the suburbs large items like couches, mattresses ect. won't be picked up because they are too large. This glorious day made for some interesting subject matter.

warmer times...

The current temperature in Chicago is 10 degrees Fahrenheit. The wind chill tonight may reach 30 below zero. I thought I'd post a few images from a trip to San Diego I took in August. Pass me a frozen cocktail.

Counting Chimneys

"If you are feeling down you might try counting chimneys.

Your eyes have specialised light sensitive receptors which relay your surrounding light levels to a gland in your brain called the pineal gland.

In darkness the pineal gland produces Melatonin, a hormone which causes drowsiness in your body. Daylight inhibits the secretion of Melatonin.

By lifting your field of vision to chimney level your body is able to lift your mood."

After the recent theft of my D70, I picked up a used Canon 20D off CL. I took the new addition on it's maiden voyage when I had a few guests over for my little sister's birthday.

If anyone happens across a shady character in Chicago selling a used D70 with kit lens, no charger, no USB plug, no accessories... please let me know.
