I was remembering a shoot I did once in Elgin, on that one day of the year the garbage men will pick up ANYTHING you put out at the curb. Normally in the suburbs large items like couches, mattresses ect. won't be picked up because they are too large. This glorious day made for some interesting subject matter.
After A long stretch of working on the "I" Project, I decided to start something new. "On My Way To Work" is a series of simple observations while, you guessed it... on my way to work.
The current temperature in Chicago is 10 degrees Fahrenheit. The wind chill tonight may reach 30 below zero. I thought I'd post a few images from a trip to San Diego I took in August. Pass me a frozen cocktail.
"Freeze Pop" was accepted into the 2nd Annual Juried Plastic Camera Show at the RayKo Photo Center in San Fransisco. The exhibition runs February 26th through April 1st.
After the recent theft of my D70, I picked up a used Canon 20D off CL. I took the new addition on it's maiden voyage when I had a few guests over for my little sister's birthday.
If anyone happens across a shady character in Chicago selling a used D70 with kit lens, no charger, no USB plug, no accessories... please let me know.
Recently I discovered that www.ilovephotoblogs.com picked "20 Awesome Photoblogs" of Chicago and my own blog of wonder here rocked the list at #20! Whoa nelly!
This jpeg has been hangin out on in my "to file" folder for ages. There we are, Gresey sisters and the boys from Fluid Minds in the October issue of SPIN. Nice!
The show is over but... check out the catalogue from the 2nd Annual Juried Plastic Camera Show, which was held at the Rayko Photo Center in San Francisco. More info soon!

WHO?
Liz Gresey
Chicago, IL, United States
Liz Gresey (b. 1982) is a Chicago-based visual artist pursuing hope, truth, passion, and peace. Lover of reason, sometimes unreasonable.
Born and raised in the midwest, Gresey has been interested in art since an early age. Young Liz won several coloring contests
at local grocery stores and with the confidence of
knowing she could color the best Easter egg, a
relentless pursuit began to find any opportunity to
show her work. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. Gresey works independently and collaboratively to make photographs exploring the relationship between image, text, and self. Liz finds inspiration in the unique allure of the city of Chicago, where she currently lives and works. In
addition to photography, Gresey has also worked with
ceramics, screenprinting, oil painting, holography, neon and other mixed
medias.
